We reached out to a customer, Ganesh G. Neumair, graphic designer & photographer based in italy. We wanted to make sure he had received the customized furniture he had ordered from us. He sent a note and confirmed that the shipment had arrived and added that feedback would follow..
And then, after a couple of months he for sure responded. With warm wording and astonishing pictures.
“A big truck pulls up, obscuring one of our studio windows completely. Do we expect a larger parcel?”
“A signature piece, the »Le Loi Dining Table« usually is only available with a top in tempered glass, as shown here. Our reclaimed timber top was custom made for heavy use and abuse at ganeshGraphics.”
The recycled machine base with cast iron crank wheel is part of L’Usine Le Loi’s signature dining table with adjustable hight made by the fine folks at District Eight Design in in Ho Chi Minh City and imported for us by Dunke Design.
District Eight Design is one of Vietnam’s first design firms to fuse the concept of design and build. The firm is inspired by an industrial sentiment that focuses on authentic vintage design.
Mr. Dunke must have noted (how for heaven’s sake could he do that? ; ) that we are great Hasselblad fans. So he addet this vintage »Hasselblads Fotografiska AB« Box to the shipment as a gift!
How cool ist that? Tack för det! Mr. Dunke.
Thank you Ganesh for taking the time to memories the delivery with amazing pictures. And for sharing them with us. Looking forward to meeting you in person soon.
Ps. Maybe there is a picture, the final one, where we can spot the complete piece, before the “abuse at ganeshGraphics”.
Best, Jörgen aka Mr Dunke
