Joss Ottoman
Joss modular sofa collections is a seating system built from moduls for various spaces and purposes.
The design pays homage to ancestral elements of Southeast Asian architecture, which, traditionally, includes graceful curves and continuity aesthetic. The upper curvature from generous foam volumes and the solid wooden bases, not only gives the resolute collection a strong identity but also demonstrates the precision and attention to details.
Joss lineup consists of nine individual components which can be adapted to the changing and varied needs of spaces with combinations in various formats. Joss Ottoman can be used as stand alone or in combination.
Designer: Toan Ngyen
Graduating from the ENSCI (Paris) in 1995, Toan Nguyen pursued his training in Barcelona with Alberto Lievore, moving to Milan in 1996, where not long after he took over as head of Antonio Citterio’s design department, with whom, for nearly ten years he was to sign lines for, among others, Axor-Hansgrohe, B&B Italia, Flos, Iittala, Kartell, Technogym, and Vitra. In 2009 he founded his own studio in Milan, subsequently embarking on a series of successful collaborations with several major brands in high-quality industry and fine craftsmanship in Europe, North America, and Asia, on furniture, lighting, ceramics, as well as on technological products.
