Console desk from genuine craftsmanship

Inspired by the architectural work of Louis Kahn’s SALK Institute, District Eight presents a collection of furniture with oak and concrete as basic materials. With soft rounded lines, the sculpted concrete legs follow the lines from the solid oak platform to a distinct design, embossed in the true District Eight spirit of genuine craftsmanship.

The Salk Console Desk shows a refined and modern industrial melding of materials- sculpted concrete legs and top in solid oak. The front side offer a raised edge trim created with soft rounding. To enhance the differing wood finishes we offer the concrete in classic grey and acid stained black. The console desk offers a single drawer providing storage.
