2019 was a year that couldn’t possibly hold more happenings for us personally nor for the Dunke business. New clients finding Dunke and given us the privilege to help and provide furniture for exciting projects for homes, restaurants, offices and hotels.

Beginning of the year we re- located to an old school in Skåne and began a transition to a life where we now are able to keep our personality, drive Dunke business forward and still breathe. 

Still married despite all packaging, fixes and unpacking of both home, warehouse and showroom. Mrs gloves actually was set on fire due to overuse of “sträckfilm” during a heavy and hectic period. And we did make close acquaintance to the weight of our District furniture.

Moving ourselves and our business did create some buzz in media. Dunke Design School & Store was crowded by enthusiasts and new customers during our premier in the summer of 2019. We have been given a warm welcoming way beyond expectations. 

We have had meetings with people that we do believe only occurs when senses and soul are present which unfortunately have become a rare thing. We also benefit from offering not only good and well made design but also from the power of nature that signatures the area of “Kullabygden”. 

Throughout the year we have consistently been carried and boosted by happy clients that cherish and value what we do. 

2019 was the year the District Bed was featured the most. And delivered to several new homes. The most beautiful bed in the world according to both owners and potential buyers. And we are thrilled over the amount of new customers, of all ages and from everywhere, finding their way to our concept and keen to invest in design made to last. Despite the fact that we are not to be found “all over Sweden” as a contrast to many other furniture brands.

2019 was the year District Eight furniture made it to Hollywood. All the way into Mrs Dunke’s favorite tv-series and to Harvey Specter’s office and the latest season of SUITS.  Let’s hope for a new season and that personal delivery is requested:) It was also the year we made our first delivery for Israel and Poland. H&M  invited us to their new Make up store and in Stockholm you now find our Akron bar stools while seated. In 2019 we also travelled with H&M Home outside of Europe as we were given the privilege to furnish new stores in South Africa, Chile and Mexico. Viva! 

We kick start 2020 by participating at the Stockholm Furniture Fair. Dunke among the giants is not an easy task but we do know we have an offer that stands out from the nordic normal and we do hear you have missed us in Stockholm so this participation and effort is all for you.
